BCU Two Star Skills Day

The BCU Two Star is an improvement award that helps paddlers develop fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water. The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and developing an understanding into how the paddle, boat and water interact.

The course will develop paddling skills in both the kayak and canoe which are the basis for progression into more specialist skills in sea, river or surf kayaking. Skills days are usually run with either a kayak or a canoe focus, paddlers need to be proficient in both to go forward to assessment.

Assessments can be arranged for participants who reach the required standard.

Cost is £55, all equipment is included.

Two Star Skills Course
This course will develop skills to meet the British Canoe Union Two Star Award. This award is a flat water award requiring skills in both a kayak and a canoe. Skills days are normally divided into kayak days and canoe days.
